Parliamentary Committee Passes Bill to Amend ‘The Prevention of Corruption Act’



Kathmandu- The Parliamentary Committee has passed the bill to amend the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.

The amendment bill, along with a report prepared by a subcommittee, was passed at a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives on Thursday.

Committee Chairman Ramhari Khatiwada announced that the bill was unanimously passed, along with the report of the subcommittee formed under the coordination of Nepali Congress MP Hriday Ram Thani. Chairman Khatiwada informed that the committee members passed the proposal for the bill with applause.

The amended Prevention of Corruption Act, as passed by the committee, will now be presented in Parliament.
