Kathmandu – Deputy Minister and Urban Development for Minister Prakesh Man Singh said that Faire promotes local production and provides support to stimulate the economy.
Addressing the inaugural program of ‘Madhyapur Faire 2081,’ Minister Singh added that Faire and Festival have a direct impact in creating balance in Nepal’s economy. He is confident that Faire and Festival also help internationalize locally produced indigenous materials.
He added that awareness should be raised among youth to encourage trade and business within the country, utilizing local products and resources.
He said, “It is good to have opportunities for local products and materials, and to work with the new generation. It is better to move forward by utilizing the resources and means we have. The Madhyapur Thimi Faire and Festival will bring everyone together. It has created an opportunity not only for the people of Thimi but for the entire country to gather and interact. The festival has a direct impact on bringing Nepal’s economy back on track.”
Minister Singh encouraged the organization of Faire in various places to stimulate the country’s economy.
