Construction Entrepreneurs and Cement Producers Agree to Reduce the Price of Cement

Kathmandu– Cement industry entrepreneurs have committed to reducing the price of cement. Rabi Singh, President of the Federal Contractors Association, informed that a discussion held on Wednesday between the Federal Contractors Association and the Cement Manufacturers Association resulted in an agreement to reduce cement prices.

Following the discussion, Singh announced that cement entrepreneurs have committed to making OPC cement available at NPR 700 in Kathmandu. He also added that PCC cement would be available at NPR 600 in Kathmandu. He mentioned that they had suggested not lowering the market price to a point that could harm cement manufacturers, nor raising it to a level that could negatively affect construction companies.

Singh expressed confidence that the Cement Manufacturers Association would soon implement the new pricing.
