Nepal’s stock market surged on the third trading day of the week, with the NEPSE index climbing by 30.76 points to close at 3,002.07 crossing the significant 3,000-point threshold.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), shares from 10 out of 13 trading subgroups recorded gains today, while 3 saw declines.
Himalayan Distillery Ltd. topped the turnover chart, posting transactions worth over NPR 644.1 million, making it the most actively traded stock of the day.
Muktinath Krishi Company, Trade Tower, and Sanvi Energy were among the top gainers. All three stocks hit the positive circuit limit, surging by the maximum 10%, bringing notable gains to their investors.
In contrast, investors in Samata Hydropower suffered the most significant loss, with the stock plummeting by 8.60%.
A total of 418,08,966 shares from 321 companies were traded today, with the market witnessing transactions worth over NPR 18.52 billion, according to NEPSE.
