Kathmandu – President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, stated that the private sector recognizes the government’s high priority and commitment to fostering a positive business environment.
Speaking at an interaction program on revenue leakage control and VCTS, organized by the FNCCI on Monday, Chairman Dhakal noted that the government’s recent amendments to more than two dozen laws through ordinances have reinforced the private sector’s belief that the government is committed to creating a business-friendly environment.
Dhakal welcomed the government’s issuance of ordinances aimed at improving the economic and investment climate, as well as increasing investment. He emphasized the need for the government to promptly formulate and implement the policies and procedures related to the laws amended through these ordinances.
He further remarked that if the government fails to encourage investment in the policy sector, the private sector will struggle to operate in an environment that produces positive results. Dhakal also observed signs of the country’s economy becoming more dynamic, citing both internal and external indicators that show a positive trend.
