The physical infrastructure and quality education of community schools have been given greater focus: Deputy Minister Singh



Kathmandu- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakesh Man Singh, stated that the educational quality of community schools in Kathmandu Constituency Number 1 is on par with that of private schools.

Addressing the 77th anniversary of Padma Kanya Vidyashram Secondary School on Monday, Minister Singh highlighted that since he took leadership of Kathmandu Constituency Number 1, his focus has been on improving both the physical infrastructure and the quality of education in community schools.

He further noted that at present, federal, provincial, and local governments are collectively working to enhance the physical infrastructure and educational quality of community schools. Additionally, he emphasized that community schools not only provide quality education but also excel in extracurricular activities, rivaling private colleges.

“Since I assumed leadership, we have placed a strong emphasis on improving infrastructure to enhance the educational environment, particularly in community schools within Constituency 1. Federal, provincial, and local governments are collaborating to the fullest extent to build the infrastructure of these schools,” he added.

Minister Singh also highlighted the crucial role community schools play in the overall personality development of students.
