Non-Life Insurance Premiums Exceed NRS 17 Billion, Sagarmatha Lumbini in the limelight



Kathmandu – Non-life insurance companies in Nepal have collected insurance premiums exceeding NRS 17 billion for the fiscal year 2080-81, as of the month of Mangsir. Fourteen non-life insurance companies operating in the country have issued 1Million 137 Thousand ,272 insurance policies within the first five months of the current fiscal year, collecting a total premium of NRS 17 billion, 177 million, 700 thousand.

Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company has collected the highest insurance premium to date amounting to NRs 2 Billion 290 Million. Similarly, Siddhartha Insurance collected NRS 1 billion, 760 million, while Shikhar Insurance gathered NRS 1 billion, 740 million in premiums.

Other notable premium collections include IGI Prudential Insurance with NRS 1 billion, 450 million, Nico Insurance with NRS 1 billion, 400 million, and Himalayan Everest Insurance, which also collected NRS 1 billion, 400 million in premiums. In addition, NLG Insurance raised NRS 1 billion, 130 million, while Oriental Insurance accumulated NRS 1 billion, 120 million.

United Ajod Insurance collected NRS 1 billion, 20 million, while Sanima GIC Insurance garnered NRS 997 million, 400 thousand in premiums. Likewise, Nepal Insurance collected NRS 944 million, 600 thousand, and Prabhu Insurance raised NRS 766 million, 800 thousand.

However, Rastriya Bima Company collected NRS 671 million, 100 thousand, while National Insurance collected NRS 543 million, 400 thousand, according to statistics published by the Nepal Insurance Authority.
