Kathmandu-Health and Population Minister Pradip Poudel has urged to Qatar for assistance in the infrastructure development of the Kanti Children’s Specialized Hospital in Nepal.
As one of the largest government-run hospitals in Nepal, the Ministry of Health and Population has proposed the DRP preparation plan to expand treatment facilities, including the construction of new buildings and infrastructure development. In this regard, Minister Poudel added that Nepal is seeking support from Qatar, a partner nation.
In a meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador, Mishal Mohamad A.A. Al Ansari, Minister Poudel emphasized that improving children’s health is a major priority for the government and expressed hope for Qatar’s assistance in the hospital’s infrastructure development. The Minister also highlighted the contribution of youth in Qatar’s development and praised Qatar for its support in Nepal’s growth.
Ambassador Ansari noted that relations between the two countries are strong and expressed Qatar’s desire to expand the scope of cooperation. He also informed Minister Poudel about the work of the Qatar Charity, which operates to support the health sector in Nepal. The Secretariat of Minister Poudel confirmed that the Minister is positive about supporting Kanti Hospital in its efforts to provide quality healthcare services to Nepali children.
