Kathmandu – Health and Population Minister Pradip Poudel emphasized the importance of managing investments in the health sector.
Speaking at an event organized on the occasion of Universal Health Coverage Day, Minister Poudel pointed out that the lack of managed investment in the health sector has hindered progress. He added that the level of investment in the sector has not met the required standards, and the funds allocated have not been properly managed.
Minister Poudel highlighted that the health of citizens is the government’s primary responsibility and stressed that the government cannot neglect this duty. He also noted that the structure and personnel of the health sector should be properly managed to improve its effectiveness. Furthermore, he called for the health sector to be more accessible and affordable from an economic standpoint.
