Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) started the week on a bearish note, as the index fell by 9.99 points, closing at 2,738.06 on Sunday.
In Sunday’s trading session, the market saw participation from 314 companies, with a total turnover of NPR 8.83 billion. A total of 16.77 million shares were traded.
Among the 13 sub-indices, three showed gains, while 10 recorded losses. Excel Development Bank Limited led the market in terms of transaction value, achieving a total turnover of NPR 343.15 million.
On the gainers’ side, Bishal Bazar Company Limited hit the positive circuit limit with a 10% increase in its share price, becoming the top-performing stock of the day. Conversely, Janaki Finance Company Limited faced the steepest loss, hitting the negative circuit limit with a 10% decline in its share price.
