Syangja. The Khuma Aryal Foundation celebrated its 6th Foundation Day with a dual focus on health and sports by organizing a free health camp and honoring local women cricket players.
The event, held at Kalika Multiple Campus in Bhirkot Municipality, Syangja, was organized in collaboration with Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara, and the District Red Cross Society.
Specialist doctors from Gandaki Medical College provided various healthcare services, including General OPD, mental health, orthopedics, gynecology, neurology, dentistry, pediatrics, ECG, video X-ray, and laboratory testing. A total of 666 individuals benefited from the health camp, and 45 pints of blood were collected during the event.
Adding to the celebrations, three women cricketers from Syangja, who were part of Nepal’s team that won the Asian Qualifiers in the UAE and qualified for the 2025 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia, were honored. Jyotsina Marasina from Putalibazar Municipality-1, Simana KC, and Kusum Godar received cash prizes of NPR 1 lakh each and certificates of honor for their achievements.
Speaking at the event, Diwakar Thapa, Chairman of the Syangja Cricket Association, praised the Foundation’s initiative, stating, “Such contributions are instrumental in the progress of Syangja cricket and will serve as an additional boost for success in the World Cup.”
The health camp and the cricket honors were particularly impactful for residents of Bhirkot, Putalibazar, and Arjun Chaupari Rural Municipality. District Coordination Committee Chairman Prasad GT, Bhirkot Municipality Mayor Tulasi Ram Regmi, and Arjun Chaupari Rural Municipality Chief Prakash Tiwari commended the Khuma Aryal Foundation’s social contributions, emphasizing their positive impact on the community.
