Israeli NGO ‘Heroes for Life’ Makes Strides in Kathmandu Valley Schools with Renovation Projects

Kathmandu. A dedicated delegation of 38 volunteers from the Israeli NGO “Heroes for Life” completed a fruitful two-week mission in the Kathmandu Valley, working in five different schools from September 13 to 26. The initiative aimed to enhance both the educational environment and infrastructure through various school renovation projects.

Each year, “Heroes for Life” returns to the same schools with new volunteers, infusing fresh perspectives and renewed energy into their efforts. This continuity ensures a lasting impact on the educational landscape while fostering meaningful connections between the Nepali and Israeli communities.

The long-standing friendship between Nepal and Israel was prominently showcased through this initiative. In recognition of the volunteers’ contributions, a reception was held at the residence of the Israeli Ambassador on September 23. Ambassador Goder expressed pride in the collaborative efforts of the volunteers, schools, and partner organizations that facilitated this meaningful process.

Since its inception in Nepal in 2017, “Heroes for Life” has operated in 18 countries worldwide, mobilizing Israeli soldiers who pause their post-military travels to give back to the communities they visit. This initiative not only addresses educational goals but also strengthens the bonds between nations through service and shared experiences.
