Interest Rates of Various Banks for the Upcoming Month, Ashoj




Kathmandu — Many commercial banks have adjusted their interest rates on personal fixed deposits for the upcoming month of Ashoj. Nine banks have decreased their rates, two banks have increased them, and nine banks have kept their rates stable.

The interest rates for personal fixed deposits at Agricultural Development Bank and Nepal Bank have increased to 6.07% and 5.95%, respectively.

Banks that have reduced their interest rates have set the following new rates: NIMB Bank at 6.5%, Rastriya Banijya Bank at 7%, Nabil Bank at 6.75%, Sanima Bank at 5.9%, Kumari Bank at 6.01%, Prime Commercial Bank at 6.25%, Nepal SBI Bank and Everest Bank at 6%, and NIC Asia Bank at 7.18%.

Banks that have maintained stable interest rates include: Machhapuchhre Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and Himalayan Bank at 7%; Citizens Bank, Nepal Investment Mega Bank, Siddhartha Bank, and Laxmi Sunrise Bank at 6.5%; Prabhu Bank at 6.1%; and Global IME Bank at 6.25%.
