On the last trading day of the week, the stock market saw a significant rise. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index surged by 78.31 points, reaching 2,688.53 points.
In today’s trading session, 13 subgroups were active, with all but one subgroup registering gains.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited led the market in terms of transactions, with a total trade value of Rs. 476.5 million.
Several companies hit the positive circuit today, with shares of Wean Nepal Microfinance Limited, Green Ventures Limited, Upakar Microfinance Limited, Eastern Hydropower Limited, and Rawa Energy Development Limited all rising by 10%.
However, Three Star Hydropower faced losses, with its share price declining by 10%, hitting the negative circuit.
A total of 318 companies traded today, with 19.43 million shares exchanging hands. The total transaction amount reached Rs. 8.17 billion.
