New Mexico –
Nepali employees at Intel’s New Mexico office recently celebrated the traditional Haritalika Teej festival, showcasing their vibrant culture to their colleagues.
The celebration was organized by around 20 Nepali employees at the tech giant’s office. Dr. Prakash Uprety, one of the organizers, stated that the event not only brought joy to Nepali employees but also served as a cultural exchange, allowing foreigners to experience Nepal’s traditions firsthand.
Originally expecting about 150 participants, the event drew in over 200 people. The celebration saw both Nepalis and foreigners dancing with enthusiasm, enjoying the cultural festivities.
“Nepal may be a small country, but we are culturally rich, and it’s our duty to preserve this heritage,” remarked Dr. Gopichandra Adhikari, president of Intel’s Nepali group.
Across the globe, Nepalis continue to celebrate Teej in diverse ways, adapting to their local contexts while preserving the spirit of the festival.
