Nepal Welcomes 79 thousand Foreign Tourists in August



Kathmandu. In August of the current fiscal year, Nepal welcomed approximately 79 thousand foreign tourists, marking a significant increase compared to the previous month, according to the Nepal Tourism Board.

The Board reported a notable rise in tourist arrivals, with 79,000 visitors from various countries in August, compared to 67,153 tourists during the same period last fiscal year.

India remained the top source of tourists, with an average of 26,thousand visitors from the country in August. Other major sources included China with 6,614 tourists and the USA with 5,624 tourists.

In July, Nepal saw 64,599 tourist arrivals, highlighting the upward trend in visitor numbers.
