SIAM Delegation Explores Collaborative Opportunities with Nepal’s Ministries



Kathmandu. A delegation from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) visited several key ministries in Nepal, aiming to enhance trade relations and promote technological exchanges between the automotive industries of India and Nepal.

Led by Co-Chairperson Mr. Yash Pal Sachar, the SIAM delegation engaged in discussions with officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport. The talks focused on potential collaboration, investment opportunities, and the role of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in Nepal’s automotive sector.

Accompanying the SIAM delegation was the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) team, including Senior Vice President Mr. Akash Golchha, Vice Presidents Mr. Rajan Babu Shrestha and Mr. Nirakar Shrestha, Secretary Mr. Vikram Singhania, Executive Committee Member Mr. Nishan Dhakal, Association Secretary Mr. Surendra Man Pradhan, and Coordinator Ms. Araju Shrestha.

The meeting concluded with both SIAM and NADA agreeing to explore further cooperation, including participation in the upcoming South Asian Automotive Forum (SAAF) in Nepal. Both organizations expressed their commitment to fostering growth and innovation in the automotive sectors of both countries.
