Youth Enthusiasm for Two-Wheelers: 19 Brands Showcased Under One Roof at NADA Auto Show 2024



Kathmandu. Bhrikuti Mandap is currently abuzz with vehicle enthusiasts, as the NADA Auto Show 2024 brings together a remarkable display of two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Organized annually by the NADA Association of Nepal, this year’s event commenced on 11th Bhadra and will continue until 16th Bhadra.

This year, the show is more focused on electric vehicles (EVs), with 80 percent of the exhibits featuring EVs. Visitors are showing keen interest in both four-wheeler EVs and EV two-wheelers, alongside traditional petrol-powered bikes.

A total of 19 stalls at the event are dedicated to two-wheelers, showcasing more than half a dozen newly launched models, each aiming to captivate customers with exciting offers. The exhibition features prominent brands that are well-known in the Nepali market.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

During the opening ceremony, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel unveiled the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which is assembled in Nepal and priced at Rs 989,000. This new model marks the first time the company has equipped a motorcycle with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 452cc, delivering 40 BHP and 40 Nm of torque. The Himalayan 450 also introduces a 6-speed gearbox, a significant upgrade from the 5-speed gearbox in previous models, promising enhanced speed and performance.

Pulsar NS 400

The Pulsar NS 400, priced at Rs 549,000, is another highlight at the exhibition. One of its standout features is the 6-speed gearbox, which offers improved gear shifting. The bike is equipped with ride-by-wire technology, which enhances throttle response and reduces fuel consumption. With a 12-liter fuel tank and an 807 mm seat height, the Pulsar NS 400 is designed to be suitable for both city commuting and long-distance travel.

Triumph 400cc

Golchha Organization, under the leadership of Chandra Kumar Golchha, has introduced the new Triumph 400 Speed and Triumph Scrambler 400X at the NADA Auto Show. These UK-manufactured motorcycles are now available in the Nepali market, offering exceptional quality and performance. The Triumph 400 series is designed to redefine the mid-size motorcycle segment with its impressive performance, protection, and design. It features a 400cc TR series engine, 6-speed gearbox, slip-assist clutch, and lightweight aluminum swingarm.
