NEPSE declines by 79 points on Sunday



Kathmandu. On the first day of the trading week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a significant decline, with the index dropping by 79.88 points to settle at 2,894.57.

Out of the 13 sub-groups that participated in today’s trading, only one showed gains while the remaining 12 sectors experienced losses. Api Power Company led the market in terms of transaction volume, with shares worth NPR 846.8 million changing hands.

In today’s trading, three companies—Wean Nepal Microfinance, Upakar Microfinance, and Aatmanirbhar Microfinance—saw their share prices surge by 10%, hitting the upper circuit.

On the other hand, Mandakini Hydropower faced the steepest decline, with its share price dropping by 9.91%, hitting the lower circuit.

A total of 333 companies participated in the day’s trading, with 42.7 million shares exchanged, generating a total turnover of NPR 19.74 billion.
