Kathmandu.The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has welcomed the Ministry of Finance’s inclusion of the formation of a high-level Economic Reform Commission in its 100-day program.
FNCCI President Chandra Prakash Dhakal stated, “I would like to thank the government for prioritizing the commission as per the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s proposal.”
The FNCCI had recommended the establishment of the commission to address the lack of coordination among economic sectors, the limited access of the private sector to policymaking levels, and the urgent need to revitalize the economy in both the short and long term to achieve sustainable economic development.
FNCCI also expressed its gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Paudel for including the formation of the commission in the government’s 100-day priority agenda. The FNCCI had been advocating for a high-level commission to coordinate reforms and ensure cost-effective operations.
