Kathmandu – The stock market witnessed a decline on the first trading day of the week. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the benchmark index fell by 27.14 points on Sunday, closing at 2,761.22 points.
All 13 sub-indices listed on NEPSE ended in negative territory today.
Nepal Reinsurance Limited recorded the highest transaction of the day, with shares worth over NPR 516.7 million traded, NEPSE reported.
Meanwhile, investors in RBB Mutual Fund-1 gained the most, as its share price surged by 7.93 percent.
On the other hand, Sampada Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha’s investors suffered the heaviest losses, with its share price dropping by 7.06 percent.
In total, 20.51 million shares of 317 companies were traded, amounting to a turnover of more than NPR 7.73 billion, according to NEPSE.
