Golyan Group Launches ‘Golyan for Growth’ Brand Film on its 65th Anniversary

Kathmandu – Marking its 65th anniversary, Golyan Group has launched a new brand film titled “Golyan for Growth”, showcasing the company’s journey and its impact on the lives of everyday Nepalis.

The film narrates stories of individuals whose lives have progressed in tandem with the company’s growth. It highlights the opportunities created by Golyan Group’s investments in agriculture, manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, and renewable energy—emphasizing its role in driving personal, community, and national development.

Established in 1960, Golyan Group currently operates more than 25 businesses across Nepal and employs over 6,000 people. The group reports an annual revenue exceeding USD 400 million.

Staying true to its principle of “creating value within Nepal,” the company has focused on job creation, infrastructure development, promotion of local production, and export growth. The brand film is said to reflect these commitments in a simple, human-centered narrative.

Unlike conventional corporate storytelling, the film is told from the perspective of those positively impacted by Golyan Group’s work—children benefiting from solar energy, farmers gaining market access, and laborers achieving self-reliance.

Speaking about the film, Managing Director Akshay Golyan said, “This film is not about the company, but about the people—whose lives and efforts have shaped our journey.”

Over the past 65 years, Golyan Group has contributed to Nepal’s development through expanded energy access, market connectivity, job generation, and broader economic strengthening.

The group has been recognized by the Government of Nepal as a “Commercially Important Person (CIP)” in both 2020 and 2025 for its outstanding contributions to exports and employment.

It has also received accolades including the Best Exporter and Employer Award (2025), Top Exporter Award (2024), and the Excellence in Industrial Relations Award (2022).
