On the last trading day of the week, the stock market showed a slight upward movement. According to Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index increased by 9.14 points to close at 2,703.96.
Out of 13 sub-sectors traded today, share prices in 8 sub-sectors rose, while 5 sub-sectors saw a decline.
Butwal Power Company recorded the highest turnover today, with shares worth over NPR 316.8 million traded.
Investors in Nepal Finance enjoyed the highest gains, as the company’s share price surged by 9.98%, hitting the positive circuit limit.
Conversely, investors in Sapta Koshi Development Bank suffered the largest losses, with its share price dropping by 10%, hitting the negative circuit limit.
A total of 311 companies traded 24,976,366 shares today, generating a turnover exceeding NPR 964.55 crore, NEPSE reported.
