NEPSE drops by 3.90 points; total transaction falls to NRs 7 billion



Kathmandu– On the third day of trading this week, the stock market witnessed a decline in its index. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index dropped by 3.90 points, closing at 2,654.75 points.

Out of the 13 sub-indices, 10 declined while 3 recorded gains.

In Tuesday’s trading, Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited led the market with a total transaction of NRs 749 million 661 thousand 491.

Pure Energy Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price rising by 9.99 percent, hitting the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited was the top loser, with its share price falling by 4.62 percent.

A total of 306 companies participated in today’s trading. Altogether, 16 million 400 thousand 775 shares were traded, generating a total transaction value of NRs 7 billion 653 million 249 thousand 312.
