Kathmandu- Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has assured that there will be no shortage in the salary, uniforms, and rations provided to the police in the upcoming fiscal year.
Speaking at the inauguration of the “Third National Conference of Police Investigators and Government Prosecutors,” he stated that the police budget has been significantly increased this year.
Referring to the improvements in resources, logistics, and financial planning, Minister Lekhak said that in previous years, the budget for police salaries, uniforms, and rations only covered 8 to 9 months. After that, complications often arose between the Home and Finance Ministries. However, he emphasized that this year’s budget has been planned in a way that such issues will not occur.
He added that a lump sum amount has been allocated to cover the full year’s expenses for police salaries, uniforms, and rations.
Minister Lekhak also mentioned that the upcoming year will see no shortage in the use of technology for research, maintaining law and order, ensuring peace and security, and managing essential resources.
He further highlighted the importance of using technology effectively to ensure fairness and relevance in police operations.
