NEPSE Grows by 23 Points; Total Transaction Exceeds 8 Billion



Kathmandu — On the second day of trading this week, the stock market saw a rise in its index. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index increased by 23.19 points, closing at 2,653.09 points.

Out of a total of 13 sub-indices, 10 recorded gains while 3 saw a decline.

As per Monday’s transaction data, Radhi Bidyut Company Limited led the market with a total transaction of 622 million 803 thousand 558 rupees.

In today’s trading, Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower Limited, Pure Energy Limited, Dolti Power Company Limited, Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited, and Butwal Power Company Limited emerged as the top gainers. The share prices of these companies rose by 9.99 and 9.83 percent respectively, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited was the top loser, with its share price falling by 7.47 percent.

A total of 324 companies participated in today’s trading. The total number of traded shares stood at 17 million 501 thousand 802, generating a total transaction value of 8 billion 689 million 350 thousand 319 rupees.
