Kathmandu– The stock market saw a decline on Wednesday. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index dropped by 11.97 points, closing at 2,646.95 points.
The sub-indices of 11 sub-groups recorded a decrease, while only 2 sub-groups showed an increase.
As per transaction of Wednesday, Arun Kabeli Power Limited led the market, recording a total trade worth 362 million 559 thousand 72 rupees.
Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited and Pure Energy Limited were the top gainers of the day. Their share prices increased by 10 percent and 9.99 percent respectively, both hitting the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited was the top loser, with its share price falling by 5.81 percent.
A total of 313 companies participated in today’s trading. The total number of shares traded was 13 million 782 thousand 468, amounting to a total transaction value of 5 billion 163 million 334 thousand 522 rupees.
