Kathmandu – On the first trading day of the week, the stock market experienced a decline. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index fell by 21.63 points, closing at 2,714.85 points.
A total of 13 sub-groups participated in today’s transactions, with the sub-indices of 12 sub-groups declining, while the sub-index of 1 sub-group increased.
As per today’s transaction, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited led the market with a total transaction value of 586 million, 608 thousand, and 348 rupees.
In today’s trading, Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price increasing by 8.19 percent. Meanwhile, Green Development Bank Limited was the top loser, with its share price decreasing by 7.91 percent.
A total of 316 companies participated in today’s transactions. The total number of shares traded was 13 million, 974 thousand, and 452 shares, generating a total transaction value of 6 billion, 836 million, 640 thousand, and 407 rupees.
