NEPSE Increases by 17 Points, Total Turnover Reaches 8 Billion



Kathmandu – On the fourth trading day of the week, the stock market experienced an increase. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index rose by 17.28 points, closing at 2,736.48 points.

A total of 13 sub-groups participated in today’s transactions, with the sub-indices of 11 sub-groups increasing, while the sub-indices of 2 sub-groups declined.

As per today’s transaction, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited Promoter Share led the market with a total transaction value of 813 million, 652 thousand, and 100 rupees.

In today’s trading, Peoples Hydropower Company Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price increasing by 9.79 percent, hitting the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top loser, with its share price decreasing by 10 percent, hitting the negative circuit.

A total of 323 companies participated in today’s transactions. The total number of shares traded was 22 million, 941 thousand, and 365 shares, generating a total transaction value of 8 billion, 235 million, 268 thousand, and 755 rupees.
