A one-day free health camp was successfully conducted in Bhaltar, Kailash Rural Municipality, Makwanpur district, with the initiative of CDPN and support from CMC Hetauda (Chure Hill) and Kailash Rural Municipality.
The health camp aimed to improve access to basic healthcare services for local residents by providing medical consultations, health examinations and essential medicines free of charge.
Around 490 people benefited from the camp, receiving medical check-ups and consultations across various healthcare specialties.

The camp offered services in gynecology, dentistry, orthopedics and nerve-related disorders, general medicine, pediatrics and video ultrasonography (USG), among others.
Essential medicines were also distributed free of charge to patients based on their healthcare needs.
During a review meeting held after the camp, participating doctors shared their observations from the medical examinations.
According to the doctors, kidney stones, skin-related conditions and dental problems were among the most commonly identified health issues among the people who attended the camp.
The findings highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare services and regular medical check-ups, particularly for communities where access to specialized medical consultations and diagnostic services may be limited.

CDPN has been implementing various development projects in Kailash Rural Municipality since 2017.
Over the years, the organization has been working in the areas of child education, child health, community development and income generation, contributing to the overall development of the community and improvements in people’s living standards.
The health camp is part of the broader effort to support community well-being by bringing essential healthcare services closer to local residents.
Collaboration among development organizations, healthcare providers and local government is important in addressing community health needs and improving access to medical services in rural areas.
