The Nepal Agricultural Machinery Entrepreneurs’ Association (NAMIA) has expressed deep sorrow over the devastation caused by the massive flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa and appealed to the public to provide financial assistance through the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for rescue and relief efforts.
The sudden flood originating from Tibet, China, on Bhadra 10 caused significant loss of life and property in the riverside areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan districts.
In a statement issued by NAMIA President Krishna Sharma, the association said, “In this difficult and unimaginable hour, everyone must remain safe while joining hands in humanitarian assistance. The association will remain united and continuously committed to humanitarian service and relief efforts.”
NAMIA has also urged its local members based near the flood-affected areas to coordinate with rescue and relief teams and actively participate in providing direct assistance.
NAMIA is the umbrella organization of businesses engaged in agricultural machinery and technology in Nepal.
