CNIYEF Concludes 8th Annual General Meeting, Announces New Leadership



KATHMANDU— The Confederation of Nepali Industries Young Entrepreneurs Forum (CNIYEF) has concluded its 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on July 31 at Hotel Radisson, Lazimpat, with the announcement of a new Governing Council and recognition of outstanding contributions to the forum.

The AGM brought together government officials, diplomats, industrial leaders and young entrepreneurs from across the country. The inaugural session was attended by National Planning Commission Member Dr. Pukar Malla, CNI President Birendra Raj Pandey, CNIYEF President Manish Shrestha and CNIYEF Learning Chair Sugam Ghimire, among other distinguished guests.

CNIYEF President Manish Shrestha highlighted the forum’s contributions to promoting youth entrepreneurship and empowering young entrepreneurs in Nepal. Startup Chair Chirag Sarawagi presented an overview of the forum’s major activities and achievements during the previous term.

The AGM also featured an awards ceremony recognizing individual and organizational achievements. Jitendra Bahatey received the Most Active Member (Male) award, while Neha Agrawal was recognized as Most Active Member (Female). Sudhigya Pant received the Outstanding Achievement Award for his achievement of scaling Mount Everest.

At the chapter level, the CNIYEF Lumbini Chapter received the Chapter Growth Award for its membership expansion and active engagement, while the CNIYEF Koshi Chapter received the Chapter Excellence Award.

The AGM formally introduced the new Governing Council for the upcoming term through a pinning ceremony attended by Dr. Pukar Malla, CNI President Birendra Raj Pandey, former minister Anil Sinha and members of the National Planning Commission.

Sugam Ghimire has assumed the role of President, with Manish Shrestha serving as Immediate Past President. Chirag Sarawagi has been appointed Learning Chair, Shiny Khetan as Membership & Integration Chair, Nida Doon Malla as Startup, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Chair, Sujeet Regmi as Government & Diplomatic Relations Chair, Punit Agrawal as Communications and Expansion Chair, Yash Agrawal as Strategic Alliance & Communications Chair, and Ankur Agrawal as Finance & International Relations Chair.

Nancy Agrawal, Sachet Manandhar and Chetan Pradhan have been appointed as Co-Chairs for Membership & Integration; Startup, Entrepreneurship & Innovation; and Government & Diplomatic Relations, respectively.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Pukar Malla said NPR 50 crore has been allocated for the Enterprise Development Facility and expressed interest in collaborating with CNIYEF to promote youth-led enterprise initiatives.

Dr. Malla and CNI President Pandey commended CNIYEF’s role in promoting youth entrepreneurship and contributing to Nepal’s economic development, while reaffirming their support for the forum.

The formal proceedings concluded with outgoing President Manish Shrestha presenting tokens of appreciation to distinguished guests. Incoming President Sugam Ghimire delivered the vote of thanks.
