Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a strong rise on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week, with the benchmark index climbing 62.29 points to close at 2,571.34 points, according to NEPSE data.
Out of the 13 trading sub-indices, all except the Trading Subgroup posted gains.
Himalayan Power Partner Limited recorded the highest trading activity of the day, with transactions worth over Rs 249.4 million.
Nyadi Hydropower Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price jumping 10 percent, while Himalayan Power Partner was the biggest loser, declining by 6.36 percent.
A total of 9,243,723 shares of 314 listed companies were traded today, resulting in an overall market turnover of around Rs 4.57 billion.
