Kathmandu — Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel held a courtesy meeting with Wang Lingjun, Deputy Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China, in Kathmandu.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed several key issues related to Nepal-China trade relations and cross-border infrastructure development.
Talks focused on the management of customs checkpoints, the reconstruction of the Rasuwagadhi bridge and road damaged by recent floods, and the upgradation of road infrastructure as agreed upon in earlier bilateral commitments.
Both sides also reviewed the implementation status of previous agreements and explored ways to further facilitate smooth trade flows between Nepal and China.
Minister Paudel highlighted Nepal’s priorities regarding improved connectivity and trade efficiency, while Deputy Minister Wang assured continued Chinese cooperation in strengthening infrastructure and customs management along the border.
