Gold Prices Fall While Silver Surges in Nepal on Monday

Kathmandu, August 25—

The price of gold in Nepal experienced a slight decline on Monday, while silver continued its upward trend, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The price of hallmark gold dropped by NPR 300 per tola, trading at NPR 197,200 per tola, compared to Sunday’s price of NPR 197,500 per tola.

In contrast, silver prices increased, climbing by NPR 55 per tola and reaching NPR 2,355 per tola on Monday.

The fluctuation in prices comes amid global market volatility, with investors closely monitoring trends in the international bullion market, currency exchange rates, and demand patterns ahead of upcoming festivals.

Financial analysts suggest that while gold prices are showing short-term corrections, silver continues to gain momentum due to industrial demand and investor interest in precious metals.
