Kathmandu — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a decline on Sunday, the first trading day of the week, with the benchmark index dropping by 18.02 points to close at 2,739.95 points.
According to NEPSE, out of the 13 sub-indices, 12 recorded losses, while only one sub-index posted gains.
Himalayan Distillery Limited led the day in terms of trading volume, registering transactions worth over NPR 1.75 billion. On the other hand, Vikas Hydropower Company emerged as the top gainer, with its share price surging by 9.99%, while Narayani Development Bank suffered the sharpest decline, dropping 7.29%.
In total, 32.3 million shares from 323 listed companies were traded, resulting in an overall turnover of approximately NPR 6.54 billion, NEPSE reported.
