Ncell has become the first telecom operator in Nepal to launch Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) international roaming for both outbound and inbound travelers. With this milestone, customers can now enjoy crystal-clear high-definition (HD) voice calls and high-speed data services—helping them stay Sadhain ON, even while traveling abroad.
After introducing inbound VoLTE roaming for international users from several countries, Ncell has now extended the service to outbound customers as well. Starting Monday, Ncell users traveling to India can access this advanced service through a partnership with Airtel.
VoLTE is an advanced telecommunications technology that enables HD voice calls with faster call setup times over a 4G network. With the addition of outbound VoLTE roaming, Ncell further enhances its international service offerings, adding value to its existing roaming packages.
Ncell remains committed to providing high-quality voice and data services to its entire customer base, including international roamers visiting Nepal for business, tourism, and other purposes. The company has expressed satisfaction in partnering with Airtel and is currently testing outbound VoLTE roaming with several global operators to extend coverage into more countries.
Ncell is actively testing this service with major global telecom providers such as Jio and Vodafone (India), AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon (USA), SoftBank and NTT Docomo (Japan), China Mobile and China Unicom (China), and Bell and Telus (Canada).
For inbound roamers in Nepal, Ncell already provides VoLTE roaming for users of Airtel and Jio (India), China Mobile (China), Ooredoo (Kuwait), Mobily (Saudi Arabia), AT&T (USA), and Viettel (Vietnam). The company continues to expand its international roaming network to ensure customers remain connected with family, friends, and business—wherever they are.
