Kathmandu. The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has officially announced the ‘NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025’ slated to be held from August 6 to 10 at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Grounds in Kathmandu.
The announcement was made during a press conference held on Monday at Sur-Sudha Hall of the Soaltee Hotel.
Hosted by NAIMA Executive Director Raj Kumar Dulal, the event featured opening remarks by Gaurav Sarada, a member of the Auto Expo Committee.
He highlighted the unique features, objectives, and long-term vision of the expo, while extending gratitude to the attending journalists, sponsors, members, and partners.
Auto Expo Committee Head Shirish Kumar Murarka shared detailed insights about the event. He revealed that the expo will feature improved infrastructure, including enhanced drainage systems and disability-friendly facilities at the exhibition venue.
Murarka confirmed that this year’s edition will witness the launch of 15 two-wheelers, 15 four-wheelers, and 5 commercial vehicles, along with showcases of the latest technologies and mobility innovations.
Representatives from partnering organizations also addressed the media. Bishnu Prasad Gyawali, Assistant General Manager of Everest Bank Limited, and Navaneet Gupta, CEO of National Insurance Company Limited, expressed their commitment to support the development of a more sustainable and technology-driven transportation system in Nepal.
Alongside Everest Bank and National Insurance as main sponsors, a range of key partners have joined the event.
These include Khalti by IME as ticketing partner, Mountain Dew as beverage partner, Himalayan Java as brewing partner, Pathao as ride partner, HIK Vision as surveillance partner, WorldLink as connectivity partner, Soaltee Hotel as hospitality partner, Frontline Hospital as medical partner, Ncell as telecom partner, and Media Space Solution as event management partner.
Special facilities for visitors have been arranged. Pathao will offer up to 30% discount on rides to Bhrikutimandap during the event. Frontline Hospital will ensure 24/7 ambulance availability and provide emergency and general medical services at the venue.
To promote digital engagement, NAIMA has launched an online content competition. Creators who upload videos related to the “NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025” on social media by August 6 stand a chance to win a cash prize of NPR 100,000. Additionally, ten other selected videos uploaded between August 6 and 10 will receive NPR 10,000 each.
NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya concluded the press event by thanking the media and partners for their continued support. She emphasized that the Mobility Expo 2025 will be Nepal’s largest and most impactful automobile exhibition to date. She also announced that each day of the five-day event will include panel discussions featuring national and international experts.
One of the key highlights on the first day will be a special session led by Anil Keshari Shah titled “Mobility – Hijo, Aaja, ra Bholi,” scheduled from 2 PM to 5 PM. Upcoming sessions will involve institutions such as Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, the National Planning Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and India’s Institute of Road Traffic Education.
The event will host over 50 auto brands and promises to be a significant milestone in Nepal’s mobility sector. Tickets for the NAIMA Auto Expo 2025 are available via Khalti by IME.
In a significant initiative towards education, NAIMA, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), announced that five percent of ticket sales will be allocated towards scholarships and research fellowships in the mobility sector to support deserving students across the country.
