Kathmandu .Moulik Bhansaghar, a culinary enterprise known for promoting traditional Nepali food, has showcased indigenous dishes from all seven provinces of Nepal at an ongoing international seminar in the Philippines.
With the aim of introducing Nepal’s authentic culinary flavors to a global audience, Suman Dahal, the proprietor of Moulik Bhansaghar, and Chef Bashu Satyal departed for the Philippines on Friday. Dressed in traditional Nepali attire, Dahal and Satyal presented an array of ethnic dishes such as Kinema, Yangben, Bhakka, Bagiya, Yomari, Thakali cuisine, Bhuiwa (also known as Degree), Mada Roti, Kasar, and Dhindo Set.
These dishes attracted significant interest from both local and international participants, who enthusiastically observed and tasted the offerings.
Dahal and Satyal were nominated and sent by the National Food Research Centre under the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC), operating under the Government of Nepal. The duo has been effectively highlighting the originality, diversity, and cultural importance of Nepali cuisine on the international platform.
The seminar, which began on June 28 and will run until July 2, is being held in Los Baños city of the Philippines, with participation from chefs and food experts representing Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines.
