Kathmandu- On the first day of trading this week, the stock market witnessed a notable decline in its index. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index fell by 32.93 points, settling at 2,595.97 points.
All 13 sub-indices recorded a decline.
Based on Sunday’s trading, Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company Limited led the market with a total transaction of NRs 757 million 397 thousand 371.
Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price increasing by 9.98 percent, hitting the positive circuit.
Meanwhile, Pure Energy Limited was the top loser, with its share price decreasing by 10 percent, hitting the negative circuit.
A total of 310 companies participated in today’s trading. The total number of traded shares stood at 21 million 547 thousand 55, generating a total transaction value of NRs 9 billion 145 million 858 thousand 510.
