Kathmandu– On the second trading day of the week, the stock market recorded a marginal gain in its index. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index increased by 2.80 points, closing at 2,658.66 points.
Out of 13 sub-indices, 8 rose while 5 declined.
In Monday’s trading, Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited led the market with a total transaction of NRs 951 million 622 thousand 687.
Today, Pure Energy Limited and People’s Power Limited emerged as the top gainers, with their share prices rising by 10 percent and 9.99 percent respectively, hitting the positive circuit.
Meanwhile, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited was the top loser, as its share price fell by 7.58 percent.
A total of 318 companies were traded today. The total number of shares traded stood at 33 million 637 thousand 966, generating a transaction value of NRs 13 billion 186 million 945 thousand 742.
