Kathmandu. NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal actively represented Nepal at the China Auto Chongqing Summit 2025 (CACS 2025). Held in Chongqing, China on June 6-7, 2025, the conference focused on the global discussion on the transition to new energy and smart technology, focusing on the main theme of ‘Shaping the Future of an Industry in Transition.’
NADA President Karan Chaudhary participated as a panelist in the China-ASEAN session and shared his views on Nepal’s automobile sector, trade prospects, and opportunities for regional cooperation. Meanwhile, NADA President Chaudhary also participated in two high-level closed sessions.
The program discussed China-ASEAN EV cooperation, including sustainable transportation and the promotion of electric vehicles.
The conference also held a delegation dialogue, which discussed the possibilities for cooperation in multilateral investment and trade policy.
NADA also set up a stall at the conference to promote Nepal’s business, providing information on Nepal’s existing market opportunities, policy conditions and environment, and the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2025 to be organized by NADA in Kathmandu this August. There was also high interest from Chinese automobile companies in this regard.
NADA’s participation has further helped promote Nepal’s regional and international markets. The conference was attended by General Secretary Surendra Kumar Uprety, Central Working Committee members Prakash Kapuri, Yamuna Shrestha, and Invitee Central Working Committee Members Anup Kumar Baral and Narayan Prasad Poudel from NADA. This is the first time in NADA’s history that such participation has taken place.
