Remittance Inflows Increase by 13.2 Percent in Ten Months



Kathmandu. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, remittance inflows have increased by 13.2 percent in the first ten months of the fiscal year 2024/25, reaching NRs. 1356.61 billion. In comparison, remittance inflows had increased by 16.9 percent during the same period last year.

In terms of US dollars, remittance inflows rose by 10.5 percent, amounting to NRs 9.96 billion.

Similarly, net secondary income -which includes remittances and other transfers -reached NRs. 1479.08 billion during the review period, compared to NRs. 1301.75 billion in the same period of the previous year.

During the same ten-month period 4 lakhs 05 thousand 610 Nepali workers (both institutional and individual) received initial approval for foreign employment. Additionally, 2 lakhs 80 thousand 314 individuals received renewal approvals to re-enter foreign employment.
