37 Nepalis Deported from the U.S. Arrive in Kathmandu



Kathmandu– A total of 37 Nepalis deported from the United States arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, on Sunday night.

They were deported by U.S. authorities on charges of violating immigration laws. Among the deportees are 32 men and 5 women, who were brought back to Nepal on a U.S. chartered flight.

Since Donald Trump assumed office as President, the U.S. government has tightened its immigration policies. It has been detaining and deporting individuals who failed to complete visa procedures, overstayed their visas, or have records of misconduct.
