Kathmandu- On the first trading day of the week, the stock market witnessed a decline in its index. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index fell by 11.06 points, closing at 2,629.89 points.
Out of the 13 sub-indices, 11 recorded a decline, while only 2 showed gains in today’s trading.
Based on Sunday’s transaction, Radhi Bidyut Company Limited led the market with a total transaction of NRs 729 million 514 thousand 660.
In today’s trading, River Falls Power Limited and Pure Energy Limited were the top gainers, with their share prices rising by 9.99 percent, hitting the positive circuit.
On the other hand, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited and Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited were the top losers. Their share prices dropped by 10 percent and 9.83 percent respectively, hitting the negative circuit.
A total of 313 companies participated in today’s trading. The total number of traded shares was 19 million 992 thousand 181, with the overall transaction value reaching NRs 9 billion 137 million 414 thousand 918.
