NEPSE declines by 5.99 points, total transaction reaches 7 billion



Kathmandu- On the last trading day of the week, the stock market witnessed a decline. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index fell by 5.99 points, closing at 2,640.96 points.

Out of the total sub-indices, 11 sub-groups saw a decline, while 2 sub-groups posted gains.

As per Thursday’s trading data, Radhi Bidyut Company Limited led the market with a total transaction of NRs 912 million 390 thousand 25.

In today’s trading, River Falls Power Limited, Butwal Power Company Limited, Pure Energy Limited, and Barun Hydropower Company Limited were the top gainers. The share prices of these companies rose by 10 percent, 9.98 percent, and 9.96 percent, hitting the positive circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited was the top loser, with its share price falling by 9.30 percent.

A total of 311 companies took part in the day’s trading. Overall, 17 million 108 thousand 809 shares were traded, generating a total transaction value of NRs 7 billion 970 million 886 thousand 663.
