Kathmandu- The government has estimated that Nepal’s economic growth rate will likely remain at 4.61 percent in the current fiscal year.
Presenting the Economic Survey at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel said that the economy is estimated to grow at 4.61 percent this year.
Province-wise, Finance Minister Paudel said that Koshi, Madhesh, and Sudurpashchim Provinces are estimated to have lower growth rates than the national average, while the remaining provinces are estimated to exceed 4.61 percent.
He also estimated that the size of Nepal’s economy will reach NRs 6 trillion 107 billion by the end of this fiscal year.
According to the government’s estimates, the agriculture sector will contribute 25.16 percent to the gross domestic product (GDP), the industrial sector will contribute 12.83 percent, and the service sector will make up 62.01 percent of the total GDP.
