Company Administration Fully Digital: From Registration to Cancellation Now Online

Kathmandu- The Office of the Company Registrar has now started handling all its administrative work through an online system. All modules of the Company Administration Management Information System (CAMIS) have been implemented from 11th Falgun 2081.

This system is designed to make company-related services faster, easier, and more transparent. The government believes that this will help promote business, trade, and industry in the private sector.

Now, processes such as company registration to cancellation can be done online. There is no longer a need for physical presence at the Office of the Company Registrar to get services. Companies can submit applications online, and these applications will be automatically assigned to the responsible staff using a round-robin system.

Applications for name approval and company registration can now be completed at a single level. While some services still require the physical presence of shareholders or directors, most services can now be done online using a digital signature. After the application is submitted, the company will receive updates through the online system.

Old applications and documents can also be viewed in the CAMIS system. There are also ongoing efforts to connect this system with the National Identity Card System, Tax System of the Internal Revenue Department, Nepal Chartered Accountants Institute, and other government systems.

So far, a total of 360,213 companies have been registered across the country. Among them, 2,314 are public companies, 347,229 private companies, 6,159 non-profit companies, and 4,511 foreign companies
