NEPSE Declines by 10 Points, Total Transaction Drops to 5 Billion



Kathmandu – On the second trading day of the week, the stock market experienced a decline. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index fell by 10.14 points, closing at 2,704.70 points.

A total of 13 sub-groups participated in today’s transactions, with the sub-indices of 8 sub-groups declining, the sub-indices of 4 sub-groups increasing, and the sub-index of 1 sub-group remaining unchanged.

As per today’s transaction, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited led the market with a total transaction value of 439 million, 368 thousand, and 210 rupees.

In today’s trading, Rapti Hydro and General Construction Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price increasing by 9.86 percent, hitting a positive circuit. Meanwhile, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited was the top loser, with its share price decreasing by 5.41 percent.

A total of 331 companies participated in today’s transactions. The total number of shares traded was 9 million, 935 thousand, and 872 shares, generating a total transaction value of 5 billion, 408 million, 314 thousand, and 75 rupees.
