Kathmandu – On the third trading day of the week, the stock market experienced a decline. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index dropped by 32.21 points, closing at 2,719.20 points.
A total of 13 sub-groups participated in today’s transactions, with the sub-indices of all except one decreasing, reflecting a market-wide downturn.
As per today’s transaction, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited led the market with a total transaction value of 586 million, 517 thousand, and 44 rupees.
In today’s trading, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price increasing by 9.98 percent, hitting the positive circuit. Meanwhile, NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top loser, with its share price decreasing by 6.69 percent.
A total of 303 companies participated in today’s transactions. The total number of shares traded was 15 million, 559 thousand, and 683 shares, generating a total transaction value of 8 billion, 391 million, 149 thousand, and 50 rupees.
